It Takes Two to Talk® Study 10

Qualitative study on parent outcomes after attending the It Takes Two to Talk Program

(Konza, Maloney & Grafton, 2010)

This Australian small-scale pre-post study reported qualitative changes in parent responsiveness and parents’ perceptions of their children’s language abilities following participation in the It Takes Two to Talk® Program. The study did not measure child outcomes.

Participants

  • It Takes Two to Talk (experimental) group
7 children with language delays and their parents.
  • Control group
There was no control group for this study and the authors note that the small sample size is an important limitation.
