Content & Email Marketing Specialist 

Full-time | Remote within Ontario (occasional in-person meetings may be required)

Hiring salary range: $60,000–$80,000

The Hanen Centre is a Canadian non-profit dedicated to helping young children develop strong language and literacy skills. We support speech-language professionals, educators, and families around the world through evidence-based programs and resources. 

We are seeking a Content & Email Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing email campaigns and nurture series, can efficiently produce and refine content across multiple formats, and knows how to leverage modern tools to work smarter and faster. 

This is a full-time, remote role open to candidates based in Ontario. 

 


Key Responsibilities


Email Marketing & Campaign Management 

  • Build, schedule, and QA email campaigns and newsletters using Microsoft Dynamics and ClickDimensions.
  • Develop and optimize multi-step email nurture series and automated sequences to guide audiences through the customer journey.
  • Create segmented lists and personalize email content to improve relevance and engagement.
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines, calls to action, and content toidentifywhat resonates best with audiences.
  • Track and analyze email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with email privacy regulations (CASL, GDPR, CAN-SPAM) and monitor deliverability best practices.

Content Development & Editing

  • Produce and refine content for email campaigns, newsletters, landing pages, articles, and other marketing materials using available tools and resources.
  • Edit and polish drafts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice and tone.
  • Review content for grammar, consistency, and readability across all communications.
  • Translate technical or clinical concepts into accessible, user-friendly language for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with clinical and marketing colleagues to develop content that reflects Hanen's values and evidence-based approach.
  • Support the creation and editing of articles, clinical handouts, and other informational materials within our CMS.

Digital & Organizational Communications 

  • Support updates to landing pages and website content within our CMS.
  • Contribute to the development and review of social media posts and digital ads.
  • Assist with the preparation and refinement of key organizational documents, including AGM materials.
  • Coordinate timelines and communicate with internal stakeholders to keep content production on track.


Qualifications and Skills 

  • 3–6 years of experience in marketing, communications, content development, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience building and optimizing email campaigns, including nurture series and automated email sequences.

  • Strong editing skills with a keen eye for grammar, tone, clarity, and brand consistency.

  • Ability to efficiently produce content using modern tools and workflows, with a focus on editing and refinement rather than starting from scratch.

  • Ability to interpret email performance metrics and make data-informed recommendations for improvement.

  • Experience with email marketing tools or CRMs (Microsoft Dynamics and ClickDimensions experience is a strong asset).

  • Comfortable working in a CMS to update website content and publish new materials.

  • Ability to interpret complex material and present it in a concise, approachable way.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-moving environments.

  • Familiarity with email privacy regulations (CASL, GDPR, CAN-SPAM).

  • Experience in the health, education, or early childhood sectors is considered an asset.
